Last week in sydney, roll on vegas

This last week saw the culmination of the FTOPS series which was a washout for me, as usual. A few minor cashes but nothing to write home about, sigh. Ran pretty bad in tournaments elsewhere last weekend as well, hopefully getting it out of my system before Vegas and the prop bet with moorman.

My laptop busted the other day, needs a new screen so Ive had to buy my 4th in the last year and ship that 1 back home for repair. The last 2 days have been pretty degenerate because of the football, we woke up at 3am and went out drinking in preparation for the 5am kick off here. Was a pretty good game IMO and could have gone either way, I would have preferred Chelsea but no skin off my nose either way. Went back to sleep at 9am then was up at 3pm to get on it again for the leaving party of 2 of the guys I have been living with in Sydney, very messy.

Woke up this morning to play some tournaments but felt like death and have just moped around all day watching shit on you tube and napping occasionally, my work ethic is superb obviously. I am planning to get an early night and wake up to play some tournaments tomorrow including the first event of the ECOOP on Bam Bam poker (ipoker). The structures are not the best on ipoker but the standard is some of worst around so is worth taking my chances in the crapshooot. That's about all for now, next blog should be from Vegas with some pics of the house and the mugs that will be living there.

More mtt's

Been playing mtt' all week and its taken until today to turn it round. Keeping records of cash games is easy with poker tracker but mtt's require me to manually enter buy ins and prizes in a spreadsheet. From the last time I blogged until today buy total buy ins for mtt's including rebuys is $31570, I was surprised the figure was so high. I was down all week, -$12k at my peak but 2 2nds and a 4th in the last 2 days has helped me turn it round to show a $3611 profit, lol.

My tournament scores for today were $7.7k for 2nd in the $100r on BamBam poker and $5.6k from a 4th place in the $50r on stars. I have manged to cash in the FTOPS on full tilt for the last 2 days with the buy ins being $1k and $600 respectively that has helped to keep costs down. I plan on playing the late starting tournaments tomorrow including the $300r 6 max FTOPS event which should be fun. After that its a couple of days off and back for the FTOPS biggie, $2.5k buy in 2 day event, wiiiiiiiiiiiii. I got good chips early in this event last time but ended up donking off to gigabet pretty horribly.

Thats about all for now, not long till vegas, :-)

Such Sundays

Had decent score in the f.tilt 100r 1a, coming 2nd for just over $6k which was pretty good form leaving me optimistic of the weekend tournaments ahead. Well a near miss the stars Saturday $300 gave me $1100 and that was about it for Saturday, fired blanks for the rest of the session.

I didn't play a full Sunday schedule due to being in Australia and the warm up starts at 2.45am here, sigh. My first tournament of the day was the UB 200k which had a nice overlay but that didn't affect me as i was out 10 before the money, lol. I made the cash in the F.tilt 750k before being on the wrong end of a Ak vs QQ coup, moments later I was on the losing end of the same coup to bubble the mulligan, sigh.

Coming to the end of my session I was going well in the 100r stars, and the 30r on full tilt. Stars ended like this, instant life tilt:

This was for 4th place chips and 30 players left with $48k FTW, :-( I regained my composure to make the final of the f.tilt 30r but that euphoria was to be short lived as I was on the wrong end of this hand. This didn't hurt as much as the 100r as I would have played his hand the same in his shoes, just compounded the misery from the earlier 100r beat.
